We are currently accepting applications for the 2024-2025 academic year, including full-time and homeschool options, and enrollment for our Forest Fridays program. At LVFFS, we pride ourselves on our tight-knit community, exceptional research based academics, and outdoor learning opportunities, all while promoting diversity and inclusivity for all learners.
We take a holistic approach to admissions and carefully consider several factors when evaluating each student's application. We want to make sure that every student is motivated to learn and engage with their studies, both in and out of the classroom. Additionally, we ensure that our program meets the individual needs of each student we admit, and we strive to create a balanced and supportive learning environment that works for everyone and is supported by community.
At LVFFS, we embrace and celebrate students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, sex, gender, or sexual orientation. Every student at our school is treated with the same respect and given equal access to all of the amazing opportunities, programs, and activities that we offer.
We're happy to welcome students who are aged 5 or older, or who will turn 5 by September 1st of the year they are entering.

Siding scale Tuition for 2025/26
We are delighted to announce our sliding scale tuition model!
LVFFS is dedicated to ensuring that our forest school remains accessible to all families, regardless of their income. We implement an honor system, employing an income-based sliding scale for school tuition. Families contributing more financially help subsidize those who pay less, ensuring that every family can participate in the LVFFS experience. Contributions exceeding the true cost of school are considered tax-deductible donations.
We trust that families will embody the values of Generosity, Kindness, and Cooperation instilled at our school when determining their payment. At LVFFS, we uphold our values of Trust and Respect by operating on the honor system for camp applications. Together, we foster Unity in making this school an inclusive opportunity for everyone.
Full Time Students (Mon-Fri) - Rates for full time enrollment are as follows:
Benefactor Rates - Recommended for household incomes greater than $100,000
Tuition: $12,000 - $14,500 +
"Each additional dollar contributed beyond the actual cost of enrollment directly supports the opportunity for a child from a lower-income background to join our forest school program. This extra amount serves as a non-refundable, tax-deductible donation, helping us create an inclusive and enriching experience for every child in our community."
True Cost of Tuition - Recommended for household incomes greater than $75,000
Tuition: $11,500 - Enables LVFFS to cover its costs and strategically plan for the future, this approach, however, poses a challenge in enrolling students who require financial assistance.
Subsidized Rates (Tier II) - Recommended for household incomes Between $50,000 - $75,000
Tuition: $9750 - $10,000 - These tuition rates cover the fundamental costs of enrollment at the forest school, addressing the essential basics. However, they do not encompass expenses vital for future years, such as special programs, supplies, and the creation of new activities and experiences.
Subsidized Rates (Tier I) - Recommended for household incomes up to $49,900
Tuition: $8750 -$9750 - “These rates depend on the availability of donations. To assist a broader range of families, we encourage you to stretch your budget. Additionally, we offer flexible payment plans with no interest to facilitate enrollment.”
For all Full time tuition: add a $125 material fee
Part Time Students (Mon/Wed or Tu/Thu)- $5,500, plus $75 material fee
Forest Fridays- $2,700, plus $50 material fee
(Note to homeschool families: if you are signing up for more than 3 days, please enroll as full-time)
